Almost anything. Items that do not circulate are:

  • Reference materials
  • Items on reserve
  • Reporters
  • Items labeled "Fed"
  • Annotated State Codes
  • A/V materials
  • Items from the Rare Book Room.

These items remain on their shelves in the Law Library. Journal staff members can "mark" the items using acid-free bookmarks with the journal's title and the article's author's name written on them. Acid-free bookmarks are provided by the Law Library and are available at the circulation desk.
