Can I use my Westlaw, Lexis and Bloomberg accounts over the summer?

There are some restrictions on use of these databases over the summer.

Westlaw

  • Current students can use their Westlaw passwords if they participate in one of the following and apply to extend their password.
    • Summer law school classes and study abroad programs
    • Law review and journal - including write-on competitions
    • Research assistant
    • Moot court
    • Unpaid internship/externship
  • Graduates have 18 months of extended Westlaw access as part of our subscription to the Westlaw GradElite Program.  Register with the Westlaw GradElite Program.

Lexis

  • Current students have unlimited access during the summer, with no need to fill out a form.
    • No points accrued during summer.
    • No use of public records for debt collection purposes.
  • Graduates have unlimited access until December 31, 2018

Bloomberg Law

  • Current students have unlimited access during the summer, with no need to fill out a form.
  • Graduates have unlimited access for six months following graduation.
