How can I return library books while the law school is closed?
While the library remains closed we do not have any staff on site to accept library returns. All library loans have been automatically renewed and no late fees or lost fines will accrue. If you will remain in Chicago, you may keep the items you currently have checked out until we reopen. If you will be leaving Chicago, we have set up a temporary book return location on the Chicago campus. You may return library books to the loading dock in the Simpson-Querrey building located at 302 E. Huron. Books will be accepted Monday – Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Ring the bell at the dock entrance and someone will accept your library returns.
Additionally, there is a 24/7 drive-up book drop on the Evanston campus located just north of Locy Hall in the Fisk Hall parking lot.
